Questions and Answers

Q.   When can I join from?

A.    Anytime.

Q.    When do the lessons start?

A.    You can book one to one lessons as soon as you join at your convenience in the Pro shop.

Q.    When can I play on the course

A.     When the Professional decides you are ready and able and you are aware of course etiquette.

Q.     Will I have to play 18 holes when I play the course?

A.      No, you will be able to play as many or as few as you wish. Speak with the professional and he will advise which holes are most suitable and most accessible to play.

Q.     Who will I play with on the course?

A.      The Royal Winchester Ladies section will help you buddy up to play the course and you will be given contact numbers upon joining.

Q.      When can I become a full member?

A.       Providing there is full membership availability you will be able to upgrade to full membership if you are ready or you can join at the end of your academy membership (again subject to membership availability).

Q.       Do I need my own golf clubs?

A.       Not to begin with, the professional shop can loan you clubs to get you started.

Q.       Do I need golf clothes and shoes?

A.        Not to begin with, you can wear suitable clothing that is within the club guidelines. You can wear normal footwear with some good grip.

Q.       Can I use the club house and practice facilities at any time?

A.        Yes, you are welcome in the clubhouse at any time and to attend social functions. You can also use all of the golfing practice facilities at any time.
