Royal Winchester Golf Club seeks to promote a friendly and relaxed atmosphere whilst maintaining a standard of dress, both on the Course and in the Clubhouse, which is appropriate to the traditions of a private members' golf club. Members and visitors are expected to comply with the Dress Code at all times.
Golf specific clothing and footwear must be worn on the course at all times.
Smart casual dress is required. Recognised and conventional golf clothing may be worn if it is dry and clean.
Smart denim is acceptable.
Footwear must be clean and presentable. It is not acceptable to wear socks but no shoes in the Clubhouse.
Exclusions; Golf shoes of all varieties. T shirts with slogans which could be offensive to others. Football, rugby, hockey type shirts. Sports training clothing – unless attending Club run exercise classes. Hats must not be worn in the bar and restaurant.
Dress code for private events will be agreed with the General Manager. For Club social events the dress code will be advised on the event listing on the What's On page on the website.
