Quality Rules the Quad

An amazing Seniors’ team emerged victorious in a hard fought battle against Marlborough (Holders), Salisbury & South Wilts and New Forest Golf Clubs on July 17th.  The Seniors’ Quadrilateral Shield is ours!

On a hot sunny day, the contest went down to the wire.  The top three teams, RWGC, Salisbury & South Wilts and Marlborough finished within 5 stableford points of each other, with New Forest a credible fourth.  Thanks to the efforts of our two tail gunners, Geoff Whittle and Peter Judge, who each got 37 points, we finished two points ahead of Salisbury & South Wilts with a total of 329 points.    The whole team responded magnificently to the Captain’s demand to ensure the opposition were kept within our grasp.

A good day ended with a great carvery prepared by our superb catering team.  Thanks also to Club Captain, Ken Jones, for coming and presenting the prizes.

We continue to “March On” – two trophies now this year.  Next?!
